Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled 1st shift Maintenance Supervisor to oversee a 3-shift maintenance crew in a high-speed packaging operation. This role involves establishing and maintaining corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance plans, supervising maintenance workers, and coordinating with outside vendors. Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance Oversight: Ensure safe conditions and proper maintenance of all production and packaging equipment with a
  • Maintenance Planning: Develop and maintain plans for corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain proper levels of maintenance materials, supplies, and parts.
  • Team Supervision: Lead a team of 15 mechanics across 3 shifts of maintenance workers, providing hands-on direction, coaching and training.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with GMPs, SOPs, and OSHA regulations, and keep the team informed and trained on these standards.
  • Safety Monitoring: Proactively address safety issues and document root cause analyses for any incidents.
  • Project Management: Manage contractors and trades, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement projects that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Education: 4-year degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent training and experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of equipment manufacturing maintenance, with leadership experience is required.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting in a high-speed packaging and or closely related environment.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor, be hands-on and guide a skilled maintenance crew.
  • Industry Knowledge: Broad understanding of general manufacturing maintenance
  • Software Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel), and CMMS.
Preferred:
  • PLC Knowledge: Experience with PLCs (preferably Allen Bradley), vision systems, and associated electronic equipment.
  • Language: Bi-lingual English / Spanish
