Clinical Study Research Paramedic/LPN Job Responsibilities

Performs research administrative and clinical functions including scheduling patient visits, collecting information and assisting the research teams as needed.

  1. Direct Patient Care: Engage in hands-on clinical activities, including taking vital signs, performing ECGs, conducting phlebotomy, and performing respiratory assessments on specialized equipment during clinic visits.
  2. Data Collection: Assist in the management and execution of clinical studies by collecting, compiling, and entering data accurately into research visit forms.
  3. Data Review: Review comments from quality control checks and facilitate correction of essential documents according to ALCOA-C standards.
  4. Team Collaboration: Work closely with research teams, providing critical support and escalating issues as necessary to ensure patient and study needs are met efficiently.
  5. Patient Interaction: Build rapport with research participants, schedule and confirm patient appointments, and ensure a smooth patient experience by coordinating with team members and managing patient visit logistics.
  6. Visit Preparation: Prepare and organize laboratory kits, research supplies, and required documentation for study visits, ensuring all necessary materials are available and properly maintained.
  7. Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels, order research supplies, and ensure that all supplies are adequately stocked to support ongoing research activities.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Experience working in a healthcare setting as a Paramedic or LPN.
  2. Demonstrated interpersonal verbal and written communication skills including being proficient in spelling, punctuation, grammar, and professional verbal communication.
  3. Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail.

Beneficial Qualifications

  1. Pulmonology Experience
  2. CCRC or CCRP certification
  3. 2 years of clinical research experience
