- Assist in developing and implementing nursing department policies and objectives to maintain high standards of patient care.
- Support the Director of Nursing in managing the nursing staff, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards related to nursing care and healthcare services.
- Create and maintain schedules to ensure departments have adequate nursing coverage for each shift.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Maintain positive relationships with staff, patients, and their families to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes.
- Conducting regular rounds to assess patient conditions and monitor nursing care.
- Verifying the accuracy and currency of patient records.
- Champion evidence-based nursing practices and encourage professional development and education among the nursing team.
- Assist in crisis management and conflict resolution within the nursing department.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Master’s preferred) from an accredited institution.
- Current RN licensure in Minnesota.
- A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- A commitment to nursing excellence, patient care, and professional ethics.
