Broad Function Description

Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Global Logistics Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the international shipping process, ensuring timely delivery of products to customers across the globe. The Global Logistics Specialist will be tasked with coordinating shipments, communicating with shipping carriers, and resolving any shipping-related issues that may arise.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage international shipments of products to customers worldwide.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products by following up on shipping carrier delays and addressing any issues that may impact delivery schedules.
  • Work closely with various freight companies and small parcel carriers such as DHL, FedEx, and UPS to optimize shipping processes and reduce costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking information and delivery confirmations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate shipping schedules to meet customer demand.
  • Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing inquiries and resolving shipping-related issues.
  • Monitor and analyze shipping trends to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce shipping costs.
  • Stay up-to-date on international shipping regulations and compliance requirements to ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in global logistics and international shipping operations.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping carriers and freight companies, including DHL, FedEx, UPS, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and shipping software/tools.
  • Experience with customs regulations and international trade compliance is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately create commercial invoices to ensure efficient clearance through Customs.
