Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented support accountant. As a support accountant, you will provide essential support to ensure the director of account payable.

Duties will include, but are not limited to: Pay vendors, resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos and placing stop payment requests.
Communicate with vendors and university personnel regarding Accounts Payable related questions and/or issues.
Reconciles accounts payable and resolves discrepancies in accounts payable related accounting records.
Analyze, resolve, and respond to problems presented by staff, university personnel and vendors.
Communicate operational problems and identify needs for process improvement to the Director of Accounts Payable.
Assist with implementation of continuous improvement process changes.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

The accountant will possess strong, accurate, and efficient data entry skills, with attention to detail. Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work with minimum supervision. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum high school diploma required, associate degree in related field preferred.
