Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility in Atlanta, GA This is a 3+ month with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization

Title: Phlebotomist II

Location: Atlanta, GA 30312

Pay Rate: $17.00 - $20/hr. on W2.

Shift: Mon-Fri: 8:30 am - 5: 00 pm

Duration: 3+ Months

*Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens from patients of all ages.

  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during the collection process.
  • Accurately label specimens and complete requisition forms.
  • Adhere to standardized procedures for waived testing, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results
  • Properly handle and store specimens to maintain sample integrity.
  • Follow protocols for specimen transport and disposal
  • Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Apply electrodes and monitor patients during the procedure to ensure quality tracings.
  • Prepare and verify manifests for specimens being sent to external laboratories or for transportation purposes.

Job Requirements:

  1. Three years of phlebotomy experience is required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
  2. Minimum 2 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.
  3. Customer service in a retail or service environment is preferred.
  4. Keyboard/data entry experience.
  5. Candidate must have reliable transportation to get to/from worksite without issue
  6. Must be available to work whenever scheduled and stay for the entire shift

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
3. Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
