STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Pittsburgh , PA

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing financial data, and overseeing payroll processing.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:

  • Payroll Processing:
    • Administer and process bi-weekly payroll for employees.
    • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, taxes, and deductions.
    • Address employee payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues.

  • General Ledger Management:

    • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accuracy.
    • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:

    • Process invoices and payments promptly.
    • Manage accounts receivable collections and monitor aging reports.

  • Financial Reporting:

    • Generate and analyze monthly financial statements.
    • Prepare various financial reports for management review.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets.
    • Contribute to financial forecasting and variance analysis.

  • Bank Reconciliation:

    • Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.

  • Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
    • Support the preparation for audits.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Previous payroll experience required.
  • Proficiency in ADP and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
