Contract Length: 12 weeks, with the potential for a permanent role

Job Description:

We are seeking a committed Staff Pharmacist to join our Wilkes-Barre team. This position is within a Long-Term Care (LTC) mail-order pharmacy environment. Ideal candidates will have pharmacy experience, and while LTC experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. This 12-week temporary role comes with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position based on performance and fit.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the dispensing of medications.
  • Offer expert advice and support to both patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure precision in medication orders and adherence to all regulatory standards.
  • Work closely with the pharmacy team to maintain high standards of service.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a pharmacist.
  • LTC experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Valid Pennsylvania pharmacy license.

Work Environment:

  • Long-Term Care (LTC) mail-order pharmacy setting.
  • Full-time hours: Monday through Friday, 8am - 5:30pm, with rotating weekends.
