Full Time Teacher Job Description

IMMEDIATE TEACHER OPENINGS

Mainstream teachers provide small group reading and math instruction for non public schools in Milwaukee. Teachers are required to hold a current DPI teaching license (not just a sub license).  Full time opportunities are available.  Positions include:

  • Milwaukee Lutheran High School (one full reading teacher/tutor for grades 9-12)

  • Victory Christian Academy (one full time reading teacher for grades 9-12)

  • Institute of Technology and Academics (Upper Campus) (one full reading teacher for grades 3-8)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up and manage Title I classroom with small groups up to 8 students per group

  • Progress monitoring using STAR Renaissance (three times a year) 

  • Lesson plan and provide small group Instruction in reading and/or math for each group

  • Work with students additionally on online program 

  • Submit lesson plans, parent communication logs, classroom teacher communication logs, and progress reports

  • Take attendance daily online

  • Monitor and check Title I inventory

  • Attending teacher trainings, family events, and other school events will be additional pay

Teacher candidates will be interviewed and must pass a background check.
