We have the following position at our Santa Clarita Hauling division:

Welder

Under general supervision, performs arc welding activities on bins and roll off containers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Will perform welding tasks of metal objects by means of arc welding apparatus
  • Helps maintain appropriate inventory levels of bins and roll-off containers.
  • Follows safe work practices and uses appropriate Personal Protective Equipment
  • Prioritizes workload according to operational needs
  • Major and minor repairs on vehicles
  • Rail repairs, arm repairs, carriage and equalizer repairs.
  • R & R of hydraulic components
  • Truck body repair
  • Repairs from P.M Inspections
  • Performs other yard related/operational tasks as directed by supervisor

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must have familiarity with hydraulic repair systems both fluid and electrical

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in all facets of arc welding, oxy fuel procedures is required.

PHYSICAL:

  • This description requires that the individual walk, sit, stand, touch, stoop, lift and climb or move heavy objects up to 75lb on a intermittent basis
  • Must have ability to stand, bend, squat and kneel.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions (heat, rain, wind, snow, fog).
  • Will be exposed to moderate noise and dust levels.
