Job DescriptionJob Description

Summary: We are searching for a Front Office Specialist who can thrive in a fast-paced pediatric primary care environment. In this position, you'll coordinate and perform the scheduling of patients, receive and greet visitors, answer and handle incoming calls, and update information in the medical record.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities Include : * Greets patients and visitors upon arrival with a warm and engaging presence * Assists patients with check in/check out * Answers telephone within 5 rings and directs calls to appropriate locations * Assesses patient's eligibility for insurance coverage * Documents eligibility in patient medical record * Reviews billing information * Balances payments received daily * Verifies accurate patient demographics information with each visit and enters into medical record and billing system * Verifies and collects correct co-payment with 100% accuracy * Collects payments * Schedules appointments and accommodates walk-ins * Collects and disseminates mail and deliveries * Files, archives and retrieves medical correspondence * Maintains confidentiality of patient information by following policy and procedure and practice protocol.

Qualifications and Skills

Qualifications: * High School diploma, GED or equivalent * Minimum of one (1) year related experience in a clinic setting. Ability travel between Norwood and Franklin and weekends/holidays in rotation, approximately 10 days annually.

*Experience with EPIC and Caretracker is a plus. * Bilingual is a plus. * Knowledge of general office tasks, confidentiality, filing, medical terminology, CPT coding, and managed care referral process. * Ability to provide excellent customer service and act in a professional manner. * Ability to type, file, and to use a multi-line telephone, computer, fax, copier and adding machine Thank you for your interest in applying for this job position.
