Job DescriptionJob Description

Responsible for assembling an itemized light fixture & lighting controls bill of material, for lighting distributors and contractors as well as working closely with the sales teams. Candidate is expected to establish working relationships with manufacturers and customers.  A background in electrical contracting and/or electrical lighting & control systems is required. A Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, architecture, business, or experience in the electrical industry or related fields preferred. To apply please provide a cover letter and resume.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Ensure that the lighting and lighting control system being quoted comply with the specifications and design intent of the project.
  •  Collaborate between the electrical distributor, contractor, manufacturer, and sales teams to provide a complete and competitive bid  package.
  • Formulate plans for following up on bids to generate orders.
  • Responsible for arranging and filing supporting bid document.
  • Participate in continued product training and attend industry events as necessary.

Preferred SKILLS

  • Possess a general understanding of light fixtures & lighting controls technology, pricing structures, and terms and conditions of sale.
  • Be adept at adjusting work pace and budgets to meet evolving client needs and strict deadlines with input from management & sales team.
  • Possess the ability to collaborate and present effectively in group settings.
  • Experience working with other lighting and controls companies.
  • Possess strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills which will help the individual coordinate among different divisions.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

DCI provides a comprehensive compensation package commensurate with experience and qualifications. The salary range for this position is $50K-$90K annually. DCI offers a 401K program, profit sharing, and bonus programs, as well as a highly competitive health insurance package, which includes dental, and vision.
