Hammond & Associates, Inc believes in providing MEP-FP Engineering design compatibility and cost effective necessary to ensure successful completion of projects based on clients’ functional and budgetary requirements. Our firm offers design and consulting engineering services for government, municipal, commercial and private sector on new and existing buildings from airports, hospitals, hotels, universities, civic centers, schools, retail stores and office buildings. We also provide residential services for new and existing homes.


The ideal Plumbing Design Engineer will be expected to immediately step in to assist and provide support for all design aspects of assigned jobs. The candidate shall show a solid understanding of the Plumbing & Fire Protection engineering discipline and have the ability to provide immediate support for a fast-paced department. Candidate shall have working knowledge of AutoCAD MEP and/or Revit. 


This position is a remote position with some outside meeting and site visit requirements, therefore candidates must reside in the Metropolitan Atlanta area..


Responsibilities

  • Develop and design Plumbing Systems for government, educational, institutional, and other commercial facilities.
  • Must have ability to design water, sanitary, stormwater, and gas distribution systems with Revit and AutoCAD
  • Lead the design development by creating reports, calculations, drawings, cost estimates, specifications, and deliverables.
  • Travel to project sites to verify conditions and installation during construction.
  • Approve submittals and support RFI responses during construction administrations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least three (3) years of Plumbing Design experience
  • Preferably has a Professional Engineering License (P.E.) or Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) working toward P.E. Licensing.
  • CAD & REVIT experience is required.
