Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role offers remote work flexibility, complemented by travel to client sites for project-related tasks. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, possess a minimum of 8 years of electrical engineering experience, and hold a Professional Engineer (PE) registration. Proficiency in designing and implementing low and medium voltage electrical distribution systems is essential, with a preference for experience in chemical processing, manufacturing, pulp and paper, oil and petrochemical, or power generation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of low and medium voltage electrical distribution systems for capital projects across various industries.
  • Develop construction and repair designs for primary and secondary electrical distribution, transformers, wiring, industrial controls, control systems, and instrumentation.
  • Conduct power system coordination modeling to ensure system reliability and safety.
  • Design layouts and select equipment for electrical distribution systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs seamlessly into overall project plans.
  • Perform feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for proposed electrical solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing low and medium voltage electrical distribution systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites for project-related activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in one or more of the following sectors: chemical processing, manufacturing, pulp and paper, oil and petrochemical, or power generation.
