We are looking for a team member who has the same goal in mind as we do. If you have a genuine desire to learn and are willing to put in the hard work it takes to ensure success for our program, GMCC is the place for you. We are in search of an experienced, full-time (Monday-Friday) Associate Teacher but are willing to train the right candidate.

Job Summary

The Associate Teacher supports Green Mountain Children’s Center by maintaining a caring and safe environment. This contributes to the overall success of the program and helps create relationships with all children, families, and coworkers. The Associate Teacher helps cover all classrooms as necessary to maintain ratios.

 

Qualifications

· High school diploma, or equivalent, required. (A minimum of 9 ECE credits, including one three-credit course in Child Growth and Development preferred.)

· One or more years of experience (preferably in an early childhood setting).

· Must complete required First Aid and CPR training.

· Possesses a warm, friendly demeanor and understanding of children’s needs and how they may be appropriately met.

· Has good communication skills, particularly in relation to young children and their families.

· Must be dependable and able to work a flexible schedule in a classroom environment.

· Is self-motivated with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and follow all classroom rules.

· Capable of working effectively as part of a team.

· Ability to give and receive feedback in your work environment.
