Position Summary:

Repair and maintain components used for aircraft airframe and powerplant. Perform turbine wash utilizing Cyclean wash equipment. Providing after-hours maintenance on-call support for the regional operational bases as directed. Maintain records related to maintenance performed on the aircraft.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain aircraft/components per customer requirements.
  • Perform maintenance meet and greets.
  • Communicate with flight crews about any inbound issues and perform necessary repairs.
  • Conduct walkarounds to identify and address any maintenance issues.
  • Perform repairs or defer them as required.
  • This is primarily an independent position; the mechanic will often work alone and must be comfortable doing so.
  • The mechanic must be able to fix, repair, and troubleshoot aircraft with little to no support.
  • Clear communication with maintenance control when any issues arise.
  • Ability to handle multiple discrepancies at one time. Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • General knowledge of federal regulations.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and aircraft wiring diagrams.
  • Legally operate a motorized vehicle.
  • Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting, including airframe structures, engines, and aircraft systems.
  • Perform all airframe and powerplant repairs and modifications required to meet company and FAA requirements.
  • Remove and disassemble defective parts; assemble and install replacement parts; test aircraft systems.
  • Operate all power tools and equipment necessary to accomplish job assignments.
  • Complete all required maintenance records accurately.
  • Accurately record time worked on work orders.
  • Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Tow and park aircraft.
  • Perform other aircraft maintenance work as required.
  • Adapt to high-stress environments and handle issues with little to no support from additional manpower.
  • Troubleshoot and learn on the job effectively.
  • Clear and effective communication with aircraft personnel.
  • Navigate aircraft maintenance manuals, troubleshooting manuals, and wiring diagrams as needed.


Minimum Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Knowledge of computers
  • General knowledge of federal regulations
  • Ability to read and understand blue prints
  • Ability to read and understand aircraft wiring diagrams
  • Ability to legally operate a motorized vehicle
  • Performs routine inspections and troubleshooting, including airframe structures, engines, aircraft system

Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • Commercial experience needed.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Possess a Valid A&P License.
  • Knowledge and Understanding of the English Language.
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Line maintenance experience required.
  • Comfortable working independently with little to no support.
  • Experience and/or training on at least 2 aircraft types - A319, A320, A321, and/or B737, B767, B777 & E190 aircraft preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical, as well as an FBI criminal background check.

Physical Requirements:

Must possess the ability to:

  1. Stand
  2. Lie down
  3. Kneel
  4. Climb stairs, scaffolds, or ladders
  5. Frequently lift, pull, and hold objects weighing more than 70 pounds
  6. Noise and vibration are common when engines are on, so ear protection is necessary

Working Conditions:

A&P Mechanics usually work outdoors, sometimes in unpleasant weather. Mechanics often work under pressure to maintain flight schedules to avoid inconveniencing customers while maintaining high safety standards.
