ASI is currently accepting applications for an experienced Commercial Audio Video Systems Design Engineer position to provide administrative and operational support to Customer, Project Manager and Field Personnel. Only candidates with AV design and engineering experience within the corporate world of boardrooms, conference rooms, courtrooms etc. will be considered for this position. The persons applying for this position MUST have a minimum of 3 years in an AV Design Engineering position within the commercial market, other applicants will not be considered.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Communicate effectively with commercial customers regarding their AV requirements and budgets.

· Perform site walks and evaluate the lighting and acoustic properties of a room or rooms.

· Design a fully functional audio and visual solution from a set of construction drawings or a site survey.

· Work effectively with manufacturing and industry partners.

· Work with customers, project management and other engineers when modifying a design or project plan.

· Document for others and/or lead the commissioning process.

· Perform onsite and remote technical customer trainings.

· Work with customers, project management, and field personnel to receive final customer approval on large and small projects.

· Learn and demonstrate ASI’s culture and core values.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 3 years experience in the AV industry working with brands such as Crestron, AMX, Extron, QSC, Symetrix and many others.

· Position is located in Burnsville, MN but there may be travel around Minnesota and out of state. Working in the office is preferred but remote work will be considered.
