Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Sunday School Teacher to join our Children's Church Team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong commitment to helping children develop a practical approach to learning the scriptures and fulfilling God's purpose for their lives. We are looking for individuals with a heart for God, Creativity, Patience and a strong knowledge of the bible. The successful candidate will have experience working with students of all abilities and will be expected to communicate complex concepts to children with clarity and enthusiasm.

Duties

- Lesson Planning: Create lesson plans that align with the curriculum and the needs of the students.

- Teaching: Lead engaging activities that promote spiritual growth and development

- Classroom Management: Establish a Christian Community of welcome and care, and ensure the classroom is clean and presentable after class

- Communication: Work with parents to establish cooperative relationships and communicate about each student's progress and needs.

- Collaboration: Work with other teachers and the Sunday School Coordinator to present a Christian Education Program

- Safety: Follow all established safety and security guidelines for children's ministry programs.

Experience

- Experience working with students of all ages and abilities
- Proven track record of improving student outcomes through innovative teaching practices
- Knowledge of child welfare and the impact it has on education
- Strong knowledge of the bible and life applications
- Experience with early childhood education and the importance of childhood development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability and Willingness to collaborate with the pastoral team, teachers and parents

- Participate in professional development opportunities

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

License/Certification:

  • CPR Certification (Preferred)
  • Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
