Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the inbound receiving operations, including unloading, sorting, and staging of incoming shipments.
  • Ensure all inbound processes adhere to safety protocols and company procedures.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate warehouse associates to achieve productivity and quality targets.
  • Monitor and track inbound shipments, verifying quantities and ensuring accuracy against packing lists and purchase orders.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to maintain inventory accuracy and track receiving activities.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to prioritize receiving tasks and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receiving area, ensuring compliance with 5S standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment, including various forklifts, and ensure they are operated safely and maintained properly.
  • Generate reports on receiving activities, inventory levels, and performance metrics as required.
  • Assist in conducting regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in warehouse management or supervisory role, preferably in a 3PL environment.
  • Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts (certification required).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Clear background check and ability to pass drug screening as required.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices within a warehouse setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.
