Position Summary:
Supervision of Warehouse, Shipping and Receiving: oversee the operations of our warehouse, dock (receiving/loading/dispatching), and transloading areas.
Key skills:
Strong leadership skills.
Thorough understanding of warehouse management processes with a focus on inventory management, supported by organizational skills.
Ability to ensure the efficient flow of materials throughout the warehouse.
Managing paperwork and tracking operations within the Quality Management System (QMS).
Computer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all activities related to warehouse, dock, and rail operations.
- Manage a team of 3-5 employees, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and finished products to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.
- Supply / Orders of materials and management of in-bounds/out-bounds managed by outsourced Supply Chain
- Manage all rail yard activities including but not limited to the following:
- Internal and external rail moves
- Railcar inspections
- Collect railcar samples
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, annual full count and reconciliation procedures.
- In collaboration with outsourced Supply Chain which provides support to coordinate inventory management activities. However, the accuracy of the results falls is the responsibility of the supervisor
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Implement and optimize warehouse procedures & flows to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, and internal stakeholders to resolve any issues or concerns.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Management of local supplies such as packaging and warehouse supplies.
- Manage paperwork and tracking operations within the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
