CAREGIVER SERVICES FOR CHILDREN WITHOUT FOSTER PLACEMENT IN THE TEXAS CHILD PLACEMENT SERVICES AGENCY-DUTIES & QUALIFICATIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Performs duties in a professional, ethical and responsible manner
Maintains positive and cooperating working relationships with clients, administrative staff and multidisciplinary team members in the conduct of organization business and demonstrates teamwork in daily activities
Performs other tasks and assumes such responsibilities as related to the position
Improves knowledge and skills through self-initiated and mandatory professional development training's
Successfully meets established annual performance goals
Performs prompt and timely in completing assignments and attending to details accurately and efficiently
Has regular attendance and complies with notification procedures for absences
Communicate with supervisor, program staff and other service providers as needed to assess and discuss progress and needs
Participate in scheduled staff meetings
Complete designated case paperwork
Attend individualized service plan meetings
Monitor child visits with parents and/or siblings
Transports children to various appointments
Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place

Fingerprint background clearance required
High School Diploma or GED equivalence
Must present proof upon hire
Possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and Texas minimum auto insurance requirements
Ability to work with frequent interruptions and in stressful situations and respond to crisis situations with patience and good judgement
Present deep interest in working with youth from hard places
Able to pass an FBI background check with no CPS case history
Must be 21 or older (prefer 25 or older)
Mental Demands: Reading, ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); maintain emotional control under stress
Strong character, humble spirit, and self-control will go a long way
Physical Demands: Standing, sitting, stooping, bending and lifting items up to 40 lbs
A job for which military experienced candidates are encouraged to apply
A good fit for applicants with gaps in their resume, or who have been out of the workforce for the past 6 months or more
Open to applicants who do not have a college diploma
Child caregiver services experience, comparable or equivalent: 2 years (Required)
