Resource Development Coordinator

Department Specific

Events

1. Assist in the implementation of special events. Roles include:

• Event logistics

• Obtaining sponsorships

• Solicitation of gifts

2. Assist in donor recognition and inputting information into donor database

Grant Writing

1. Prepare and present for approval proposals and grants for corporate and foundation support

2. Assist department head in fulfilling grant requirements including grant research, reporting, and funder recognition

Communications

1. Maintain oral and written contact with the Director of Organization Development, staff peers, and volunteers for the purpose of exchange of information, to provide progress reports regarding activities and planned programs, and to coordinate events

2. Maintain a collaborative relationship and positive communication with Resource Development Department to support Club activities

3. Support CEO with Donor Visits & Management

4. Assist in writing thank you's

Administration

1. Performs data entry, preparing correspondence and reports as requested by supervisor and composes draft letters following established formats. Proofreads all materials for accuracy prior to supvisory review and signature.

2. Maintains supervisor's calendar, scheduling meetings and making logistical and travel arrangements necessary for internal and external meetings. Meeting notification, preparation and follow-up will include preparing meeting agendas and minutes.

3. Maintains master schedule of executive activities, events, and training while collecting from and disseminating information to Club staff, volunteers, members, families, and the public as instructed.

4. Maintains electronic and hard copy filing systems, making sure they are accurate and timely and facilitate easy retrieval of information.

5. Prepares presentations, gather and collate materials and ensures timely preparation and dissemination of information regarding a wide variety of on/off site meetings and special projects related to the meetings.

6. Data gathering and reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

7. Perform other related administrative duties as requested.

8. Contribute to the planning and implementation of special events, working with Club staff and volunteers to coordinate activities and facilitate communications.

Board and Committee Meetings

1. Assist in coordinating board and committee meeting logistics, including, but not limited to:

~Technology

~Food and beverage

~Taking & Disseminating Meeting Minutes

~Set-up and Clean-up

~Assist in preparing committee reports and menu of opportunities for board member volunteerism

Advisory Council

1. Coordinate & Attdend Area Advisory Council Meeting in outlying communities

2. Take and Disseminate meeting minutes

3. Report on Area Advisory Council Meetings to RD Team

4. Assist in recruitment of new Area Advisory Council members

Professionalism

1. Support and carry out the mission of the agency

2. Be involved with the community at large and appropriate professional organizations

3. Follow agency policies, including personnel and programmatic

4. Participate in the agency, demonstrate team participation and a work place philosophy that enriches staff’s ability to reach goals and provide a high level of customer service

Relationships

1. Internal

~Maintain close, daily contact with Supervisor to interpret and explain organizational mission, program objectives and standards, discuss issues, and provide/receive information

~Work with a variety of team members and youth professionals cohesively and respectfully to serve our mission

~Elicit cooperation from peers and coworkers as needed

2. External

~Research and analyze corporate and community partnerships, as assigned, and identify opportunities for increased collaboration

~Develop and maintain professional relationships with board of directors

~Develop and maintain close relationships with various constituencies within the community

~Oversee Johnson, Fremont, and Converse County donor stewardship and cultivation while maintaining accurate records in donor database

Partnership Development

1. Develop and maintain community and corporate partnerships

Additional Responsibilities

1. At times, will be required to perform additional duties beyond those specified, such as grants and annual fundraising campaign

2. Attend training as requested

3. Position involves some out-of-town travel

4. Assume other duties as assigned

5. Management retains the discretion to add or to change the duties of the position at any time

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

~A minimum of three years of work experience in non-profit agency operations, specifically in the fundraising field and/or sales

~Four year degree in related field from an accredited college or university or relevant experience

~Knowledge of fundraising techniques and sources of funding for non-profit agencies and organizations preferred

~Grant writing and reporting skills necessary

~Technology skills in software design programs

~Exemplary interpersonal skills and communication skills needed

~Occasional travel required

~Current driver’s license required

~CPR/First Aid Certification
