You'll also play a key role in monitoring plant cleanliness by regularly swabbing production equipment. Your work will help maintain compliance with quality standards and ensure timely release of test results.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Testing: Perform analytical tests on raw materials, product components, and finished products to ensure quality. This includes logging samples, using equipment like FTIR, densitometers, refractometers, flash point testers, pH meters, and more.
  • Support Analytical Work: Assist with testing for quality control, regulatory requirements, and R&D projects, including small-scale taste tests and batch comparisons.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily calibration checks and basic maintenance on lab equipment.
  • Monitor Plant Hygiene: Conduct allergen testing and environmental swabbing for microbes and pathogens.
  • Documentation: Organize and catalog sample libraries, file paperwork, and prepare samples for external testing.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement new procedures to enhance lab efficiency based on trends and analyses.
  • Compliance: Report any food safety concerns to the appropriate management.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Food Science preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Ideally, one year of related experience or training.
