We are seeking a skilled and experienced Personal Injury Paralegal located in North Dallas. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in personal injury law (Plaintiff) and have a passion for assisting clients through the legal process. As a vital member, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to attorneys in all stages of personal injury cases.

Responsibilities:

  1. Case Management: Manage a caseload of personal injury files from inception to resolution, ensuring all deadlines are met and cases progress smoothly.
  2. Client Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on case status, answering inquiries, and offering compassionate support throughout the legal process.
  3. Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law to support attorneys in case preparation and strategy.
  4. Document Preparation: Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses, in compliance with court rules and deadlines.
  5. Discovery Assistance: Assist in the discovery process by organizing, reviewing, and summarizing medical records, police reports, and other relevant documentation.
  6. Trial Preparation: Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, witness lists, and other materials essential for trial proceedings. Coordinate with attorneys and expert witnesses to ensure readiness for court appearances.
  7. Settlement Negotiation: Assist attorneys in negotiating settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel, drafting demand letters, and calculating damages.
  8. Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative duties, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining calendars, and managing electronic filing systems.

 

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience working as a paralegal in personal injury law (Plaintiff).
  3. Knowledge: Strong understanding of personal injury law, including negligence, torts, and insurance regulations. Familiarity with Texas legal procedures and court systems is highly desirable.
  4. Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, proficient in legal research and document drafting using legal software such as Filevine.
  5. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to empathize with clients, maintain professionalism in challenging situations, and collaborate effectively with attorneys and staff members.
