Position Summary

Conducts day-to-day activities pertaining to order picking, issuing

Effectively coordinates and communicates with internal Departments. Reviewing orders making sure orders are processed correctly and in a timely manner

All while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicates with department supervisors.
  • Utilizes email groups to communicate with sales and operations department.
  • Reviews and confirms all orders picked with correct Material ex: heat lot, material, size.
  • Ensures Material Test Report (MTR) are correct and correctly attached to orders.
  • Effectively communicates any issues delays pertaining to an order.
  • Reviews heat specification within the system for material confirmation.
  • Coordinates with Warehouse manager for any order changes
  • Reviews/issues all orders incoming from outside warehouses
  • Attends safety meetings to identify departmental issues and discuss ways to correct them.
  • Identifies areas of improvement while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Duties are not limited to those described above, and may be expanded as needed.

Information and Activities Critical to Process Quality

·Records any discrepancy within incoming or orders being pulled

o   Records NCRs for incorrect material picked or pulled

o   Ensures all orders are picked and issued in a timely manner 

·Make sure all information is provided by puller:

o   Heat#

o   Location

o   Qty

Department Responsibilities

·QMS:

o   Fully understands and maintains all expectations listed in the procedures and Work Instructions.

o   Follow Quality Policy and Department Processes.

o   Understands the process of identifying and segregating non-conforming product from good material.

·Safety:

o   All necessary PPE required

o   Maintain the daily checklist on the picker/forklift

o   Attend daily safety meetings

o   Ongoing responsibility to maintain a clear and safe work environment.

o   Maintain clear aisle ways and organize racks and dock space

o   Always aware of potential hazards in surrounding area

 

Qualifications

·Speak and read English. Bilingual Spanish preferred.

·1+ years PVF industry experience.

·Ability to read and understand industry specifications, charts, and tables.

·High school diploma or GED.

·Basic computer skills. Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.

·Must have average reading, writing, and mathematical skills.

·Able to stand and operate a variety of equipment as assigned.

·Takes initiative and able to work independently.

·Requires a high level of attention to detail.

·Able to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
