McGregor Square is a dynamic addition to historic Lower Downtown Denver, taking up the entire square block just south of Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies. McGregor Square is comprised of three towers that include The Rally Hotel, residences, office and retail space, fine dining and Milepost Zero -- a food hall, all surrounding a 18,000 square foot content plaza that will host year-round events like concerts, festivals and an ice-skating rink in the winter.

The Marketing & Events Manager assists with the development, implementation and management of online marketing programs, websites, social media, SEO, content, and related programs. Coordinates with outside digital agencies and property staff to ensure all program objectives are achieved and revenue is maximized. Organizes, executes and promotes events and activations for the property while facilitating and building strong relationships with tenants. The ideal candidate demonstrates enthusiasm and passion for all facets of marketing & events. Works to create branded and unique property identities with forward-looking positioning statements, supported with online and offline content and initiatives that develop the brand. Additionally, the Marketing and Events Managers will support the marketing and social media efforts of Milepost Zero.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage online presence with an emphasis on creating unique and engaging content for websites, vanity websites, company website, and third party sites
- Work with agencies to ensure that property websites are optimized using current best practices for SEO
- Direct, manage or assist agencies in all areas related to online/digital marketing, including website development and online marketing
- Conduct and track on-going email marketing campaigns for a variety of business units
- Utilize current reporting from agencies, brands, and Google Analytics to drive improved content and marketing initiatives and decisions
- Recommend changes and new reporting based on changes in technology, CMS or other areas in conjunction with changing business needs
- Manage and create compelling and engaging content on social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and others as the need arises
- Continually manage social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram, ensuring imagery and copy is consistent with the identity and positioning of property
- Manage promotional campaigns including requesting creative, drafting the communication plan, and sending a marketing recap once completed
- Monitor trends, online media, brand reputation and ensure management responds accordingly to online travel and review websites.
- Utilize current reporting from agencies, Google Analytics and social networks to drive improved content and social marketing initiatives and decisions
- Recommend changes and new reporting based on changes in technology, social networks or other areas in conjunction with changing business needs
- Develop and implement Public Relations initiatives and programs.
- Work directly with PR agencies to support creation of property initiatives that reinforce identity and positioning, with execution in a timely manner
- Utilize current reporting from agencies and third party sources to drive improved content, PR initiatives, and decisions
- Work with partners and sponsors to establish brand awareness both digitally and within the community
- Collaborate on ideas for Events and Activations to keep the property top of mind for travelers and locals, alike
- Manage Run of Show for Plaza Events and Activations
- Coordinate with vendors for Plaza Events and Activations and manage load-in and load-out schedules
- Work within property budget for Events and Activations
- Facilitate partnerships and sponsorships for Events and Activations
- Graphic Design needs/creation for new Events and Activations
- Assist with flyers, signs, eblasts, etc. – work with property staff and agencies on design and creation of new materials
- Use of content management systems (CMSs) to update websites
- Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat
Milepost Zero Responsibilities
- Manage social media by, creating content, production, posting and online conversations across Milepost Zero’s social media channels including: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google+, Linkedin, Pinterest, etc.
- Maintain brand voice and build engagement amongst various social channels, develop brand recognition
- Stay on top of social trends and engage new methods to capitalize on new marketing opportunities
- Assist with updating the Milepost Zero’s website by editing and creating new content
- Manage holiday and area events calendar on property websites
- Work closely with food vendors and bar team to develop successful marketing plan
- Create content to promote and drive traffic to Milepost Zero
- Engage with guests on social media
- Participate in monthly marketing calls
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- All other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
Education/Formal Training
A four year college degree or equivalent education/experience.
Experience
Required to have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a marketing position. Hospitality experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent comprehension and literacy required to read manager's letters, help prepare contracts and proposals
- Ability to negotiate effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Professional appearance and manner
- Computer literacy, specifically MS Word for Windows
- Communication at all levels; multi-tasking; time management
