Pool Fence Installer

A Lead Pool Fence Installer at Mockingbird Pool Fence assembles and installs removable pool safety fences at customers’ residences and businesses on their own, without additional supervision, (2) safely operates a company-provided cargo van and manages inventory, (3) performs estimates and interacts with potential customers, and (4) performs other duties related to pool fence installation.

Work Time/Availability: This is a full-time position.

Start Date: The start date for this position is as soon as possible.

Pay: The estimated pay is approximately $60,000.00 per year. This consists of $20.00 per hour, plus $1.00 per foot of pool fence installed. There is potential to make more as additional fences are installed.

The business just started in mid-April 2024 and we install approximately 300 feet of fencing per week. We hope to grow that significantly.

The Essential Functions of this position include:

• Being on time

• Interact respectfully with customers to determine layout and answer questions, collect payment

• Operating a RamMaster 2500 cargo van safely

• Use the software Housecall Pro to manage the work schedule

• Obtain company-provided certification training through the Life Saver corporate program

• Ability to install pool fences with no assistance.

  • The performance standard for the installer is to be able to install at least 400 feet of fence per week.

• Pick up inventory in the company-provided van at a local delivery facility; unload the inventory and manage inventory in company-provided storage

• Visit potential customers homes to take measurements and answer questions about the company’s products

• Operating a rotary impact drill and hand tools to assemble and install pool fences safely

• Loading and unloading pool fence materials from a cargo van. Ensuring equipment and materials are maintained, kept clean, organized, and stored safely.

• Keeping work areas and equipment clean using water and brooms, and collecting and disposing of scrap and excess materials.

Work Environment:

This is a field-based role. The Lead Installer will regularly use hand tools and install pool fences at customers’ homes and businesses. The work environment can be noisy. The position regularly works near water and in conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust.

Physical Demands:

The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time, and performs physical labor under adverse field conditions, including in the heat and rain. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects and uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
