Job Summary:

As the Plant Supervisor of our CNC Milling facility, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient production processes, and maintaining high-quality standards. You will supervise a team of CNC machinist including operators, set-up technicians, programmers, and support staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting continuous improvement.

 

Responsibilities:

Manage Production Operations:

·        Oversee all aspects of the CNC manufacturing plant, including production scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.

·        Ensure production targets and deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to safety guidelines.

·        Collaborate with other departments, such as front office personnel, quality control, and maintenance, to streamline production processes and resolve any operational issues.

Team Leadership and Development:

·        Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of CNC machinists, programmers, and support staff.

·        Set clear performance expectations, provide guidance, and conduct regular performance evaluations.

·        Identify training needs and coordinate the development of technical skills and knowledge for team members.

·        Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Quality Assurance:

·        Ensure compliance with quality control standards and procedures, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

·        Collaborate with the Quality Control department to develop and maintain quality assurance programs.

·        Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to product specifications and customer requirements.

Equipment Maintenance and Optimization:

·        Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance activities for CNC machines and other equipment.

·        Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.

·        Implement measures to optimize machine performance, increase productivity, and reduce waste.

Safety and Compliance:

·        Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.

·        Conduct safety training and provide guidance on the proper use of personal protective equipment.

·        Investigate and report any accidents or incidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (preferred) OR equivalent work experience.

·        Proven experience as a Plant Supervisor or similar role in a CNC manufacturing environment.

·        In-depth knowledge of CNC machining processes, equipment, and programming.

·        Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a diverse team.

·        Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

·        Proficient in quality control standards and procedures.

·        Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

·        Solid understanding of OSHA safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing environment.
