Job Description/Duties:
- Accounts Payable: enter vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner, 3-way matching required for most of the A/P invoices
- Code invoices require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes
- Reconcile vendor statements and credit card statements in conjunction with Concur
- Reviewing source documents (quotes, agreements, contracts) for proper approvals
- Research and resolve vendor issues and any internal receiving problems (including return purchase orders)
- Obtain W-9 forms and setup new vendor in the accounting system
- Review payment batch and print AP checks
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries, maintain vendor accounts/records
- Review and suggest A/P related accruals
- Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices from sales orders, review customer purchase order for proper invoicing including gathering packing slips and shipping documents for customer shipments to ensure proper billing, send out invoices to the customers, follow-up on outstanding invoices, etc.
- Work the A/R aging monthly – including customer calls and e-mails notifications
- Maintain customer accounts/records
- Office administrator duties: get mail, etc
- Maintain professionalism in interactions with customers, guests, and colleagues, while ensuring a positive work environment.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate degree preferred but not required
- 3+ years accounts payable experience required
- Some account receivable experience preferred but not required
- Experienced with 3-way matching
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
