Job Summary
Established 75 year old commercial General Contractor/Construction Manager has an opportunity for a Site Superintendent to join our team. Candidate must be a leader with strong interpersonal and management skills. The Superintendent is responsible for day to day operations, managing subcontractors, and coordinating with the client form contract to completion.
Responsibilities and Duties
Individual must have strong working knowledge of the commercial construction process. Must be proficient with drawings, specifications, contract scopes, safety programs, and scheduling. Procore a plus.
Provide logistic planning input during preconstruction.
Create a positive work environment.
Ability to be proactive in managing a project schedule, sequencing trades, and implementation of a construction project. Establish goals, critical path scheduling input for each trade, and completion timelines for the construction team.
Assist project manager in meetings with clients and subcontractors.
Organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure all work is constructed according to all submittals, plans, specifications, and subcontracts.
Proactively anticipate, recognize and resolve problems.
Ensure construction complies with safety, health, and quality standards
Track and record daily reports, RFI's, ASI's, etc.
Coordinate building inspections with state and local jurisdictions.
Coordinate punch list completion, review closeout documents, as-builts, and user training
Candidate must be willing to establish long lasting relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications and Skills
Minimum of 5 years commercial construction experience required.
Experience in K-12 a plus.
Ability to participate in meetings with clients and subcontractors.
Safety training.
