Key Responsibilities:

•Ensure projects comply with regulatory requirements, plant engineering standards and

•Compliance with Process safety, ergonomics, MSHA, ISO, environmental agencies, applicable
codes, and regulatory agencies
•Ensure projects comply with all applicable standards.
•Management of departmental record keeping and databases
Activities:
•Management and coordination of project development and execution including development of
AFE’s and evaluation of project’s economics.
•Oversee management of change (MOC) process.
•Assist in performing root cause analysis’s (RCA’s).
•Determination of project development and execution strategies such as contracting plan,
material management plan and integrated project schedule.
•Utilization of the capital deployment process for project development and execution. 
•Manage and forecast project costs.
•Participate in development and administration of capital plans.
•Project management, including cost accountability.
•Collaboration amongst various departments across the site, including operations, maintenance,
and support groups. 
•Prepare design, drawings specification documents.
•Prepare bid/request documents, addendums change orders for procurement phase.
•Direct interface with a variety of disciplined engineers.
•Coordinate and ensure projects comply with regulatory and code requirements.
•Project closure and accounting interface.
•Support project systems.
•Support ISO efforts.
•Other duties as assigned.
Skill, Capability and Educational Requirements
•B.S. Degree in Engineering, with five or more years of Mechanical experience, OR a B.S in
Mechanical Engineering 
•4 + years of experience in Project Management strongly preferred.

•Engineer in training certificate or professional engineering license preferred.


Our client is the world’s largest natural soda ash mine and production site, offering a secure,

and manufactures soda ash that is used in the production of glass, detergents, chemical

limited partnership headquartered in Houston, Texas.  Through four divisions: offshore pipeline
transportation, sodium minerals and sulfur services, marine transportation and onshore facilities
and transportation, they provide an integrated suite of services to refineries, oil producers, and
industrial and commercial enterprises.
