Fundraiser Development Coordinator

Mt. Carmel Redevelopment Corporation (MCRC) is a 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to improve the quality of life for residents of Northeast Wyandotte County through community revitalization and economic development. The organization envisions safe, revitalized neighborhoods with quality, affordable housing, access to basic human services and sustained economic development.
MCRC seeks a part-time Development Coordinator to support our fundraising efforts and secure the resources necessary to support safe, healthy neighborhoods. This role reports directly to the Executive Director and works closely with finance director, and program staff to identify funding needs, plan and execute fundraising initiatives, maintain donor relationships, and contribute to the financial stability of our organization.
Responsibilities:
Fundraising Support
· Assist with planning and execution of fundraising campaigns, including annual appeals, special events, grant proposals, grant compliance, and major gift initiatives.
· Coordinate logistics for events, including venue booking, catering, and promotional materials.
· Manage donor data and maintain accurate records for client relationship management.
· Conduct research and prepare donor reports and presentations.
· Assist with drafting grant proposals and managing grant applications.
· Draft grant reports and other compliance documents.
· Manage an annual grants’ calendar.
· Assist with preparation of expense authorization forms.
· Assist with general filing of financial transactions to include checks, debit and ACH.
· Assist with file room maintenance and document retention schedules.
· Grant management duties as may be assigned.
Donor Engagement
· Support the development director in cultivating and stewarding relationships with individual donors, grant funders, and corporate partners.
· Create and maintain personalized communication channels with donors to ensure engagement and appreciation.
· Organize and assist with donor visits and meetings.
Administrative Tasks
· Process donations and maintain accurate financial records.
· Assist with managing the development department budget.
· Provide administrative and operational support related to fundraising and resource development.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in fundraising or a related field (non-profit experience preferred).
· Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and professionalism.
· Excellent telephone skills and willingness to communicate over multiple platforms.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based databases and other software.
· Collaborative and team-oriented approach to work.
· Possess a passion for the mission of affordable housing and social justice.
Benefits:
Salary ranges from $35,000 to $45,000 annually.
