Mechanical / Refrigeration Engineer (Entry Level)

Job Summary

We are a fast-paced and well established design/build industrial refrigeration contractor looking for a mechanical engineer to add to our growing team. Responsibilities include assisting senior engineers with design and supervision of industrial refrigeration system projects to address the needs of our customers in both cold storage and food processing. The position also requires regular communication with customers, suppliers, architects, engineers, field employees and other trades.

Primary responsibilities

  • Assist with the design of complete industrial refrigeration systems.
  • Assist with design additions and modifications to existing refrigeration systems.
  • Perform and/or assist with load calculations, equipment selection, pipe and valve sizing/configurations, etc.
  • Estimate and write proposal for projects.
  • Supervise and manage projects.
  • Work with vendors on equipment and material orders.
  • Communicate with customers to ensure their needs and requirements are met.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager or Executive(s).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in an Engineering discipline or related technical degree
  • Strong organizational skills to support project estimating and management.
  • Good attitude and a willingness to help coworkers when needed.
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to take direction from managers, executives, and peers
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D/3D and Microsoft Office
  • Able to travel (up to 25% of the time)
