Talento Search Group has an opening for an experienced Manual Industrial Machinist in Charleston, South Carolina. This is a direct hire position with multiple shift availability. Starting pay range is $20 - $35 per hour depending upon experience and capabilities.

Our client's ideal candidate is someone who has experience working with large scale machinery and has the commitment to work with elite customers at the next level in the machining arena.

Responsibilities:

  • Setup, adjustment and operation of equipment to product precision parts
  • Breakdown of equipment for tooling / fixture changeouts, cleaning and general machine maintenance
  • Use of precision measurement tools to include gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc.
  • Interpret blueprints/drawings to meet customer's product expectations

Machining Equipment Experience needed:

  • Horizontal and vertical Lathes, Mills, Planers, Grinders, Presses, Saws of large scale
  • Processes: Polishing, Drilling, Honing, Boring, Turning


Qualifications:

  • HS-Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years proven, stable large scale machining experience. 5 years or above highly preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints/schematics
  • Excellent mathematics skills (fractions/percentages/ratios/proportions)
  • Ability to work overtime as needed based on customer requirements
  • Physically fit to lift/move over 50 pounds with/without assistances
  • Ability to pass drug testing and extensive background check
