Job Summary: The Production Scheduler & Inventory Control will schedule adequate inventory to meet daily order needs. This position will need to plan orders volumes by consolidating order fulfillment on a “Just in Time” basis. Monitoring and report on the company’s inventory to ensure that there is efficient and accurate handling of the company’s products (raw materials & finished goods) and supplies is critical for the attainment of business goals. Utilize barcode scanning technology to monitor all inventory activities and perform troubleshoot on same, analyze results and recommend modifications and changes to inventory. This is to be accomplished through excellent record-keeping, great attention to detail and a business mindset.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Collaborates with Operation Manager, Warehouse Manager, purchasing and customer service to identify and resolve inventory issues related to inventory shortages, cycle counting, monthly physical inventory, scrap/waste, raw material usage, Customer rush orders, customer product add ons (e.g., whole kernel corn, bulk flour, preservatives, and other recipe ingredients).

· Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers.

· Communicates with Purchasing Department as needed regarding new items, changes of location, counts, etc.

· Oversees and maintains stock code item master, identifying incorrect descriptions and stock numbers.

· Design, implement and maintain barcode scanning system (i.e., RiteScan software & hardware technology)

· Provide training to inventory and data team related to barcode scanning system and monitor all special requests and work to minimize on-hand inventory costs.

· Analyze daily all forecast/demand planning for inventory and develop various processes for inventory purchases and prepare reports for same to evaluate all plans and procedures. Make adjustments to production schedules when necessary.

· Assist in hiring and training all new recruits in inventory management.

· Create, maintain, and monitor Bills of Materials (“BOM”) on a regular scheduled basis to ensure that material usage, machine output rates, labor headcount, labor run rates, and labor hourly $ rate accurately reflect the product’s expected production requirements.

· Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures via SYSPRO ERP system, such as, elimination of negative inventory quantities, lost control, inventory transfers and material requirements planning (“MRP”).

· Record actual daily production output in cases or pounds by product type, deliveries, and shipments to Reconcile inventory.

· Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics and movement of inventory.

· Analyze data to anticipate future inventory needs.

· The goal is to ensure that all business operations have adequate product inventory and material to achieve their objectives.

· Inventory management and cycle counts will need to ensure that all inventory items are properly identified and readily accessible in accordance with the organization’s inventory cycle.

· Ability to prioritize and follow directions with little or no supervision.

· Ability to do multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Good verbal and written communication and proficient in Excel.

· Strong organizational skills

· Perform other related and unrelated tasks as required by business circumstances.
