Accudyn Products, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team. We provide a high-energy environment with a culture that supports individual growth & opportunities. We are looking for a self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills who, with attention to detail, can work in a team environment to help deliver a quality product to our customers.

Available Shifts:

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Summary: Effectively monitor, measure, and evaluate quality characteristics of products and processes at Accudyn Products Inc. Be actively involved in Quality related activities essential to maintaining and improving acceptable products being delivered to our customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Level I & II:

  • Ability to accurately use measurement gauges, i.e., micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, height gauges, drop indicators.
  • Ability to accurately identify visible molding defects.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and other quality documents such as control plans and non-conformance reports.
  • Working knowledge of Statistical process control i.e., X-bar and R charts and Histograms.
  • Perform audits on incoming, in-process, and final products.
  • Able to initiate Non-Conformance Report (NCR), Audit, and Contain all suspect product

Level II:

  • Set up Statistical process control parameters and utilize it to monitor quality
  • Read and understand blueprints including GD&T dimensioning
  • Able to determine and apply the proper gauge and gauging method to part dimensions as required by drawing specification
  • Perform compliance audits on systems and procedures instituted.
  • Able to use conventional gauging and be able to use Vision systems and Touch probe coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for basic step measurement routines.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities
  • Assists with operator training pertaining to quality standards

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Education
  • 2 years of experience as an inspector

Language Skills

  • While on the job, employee must be able to communicate with co-workers and management both verbally and in writing. Ability to communicate effectively with operators and other support personnel.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to solve problems that arise on the job

Computer Skills

  • Basic computer skills - with proper instruction.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Ability to pursue further Quality Training and Certificate Programs, for example ASQ CQT or CMI.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to learn new methods as it relates to Quality functions

Other Qualifications

  • Employee should be goal oriented and a team player with self-motivation.
  • Performs functional responsibilities with little to no supervision
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate with coworkers and management both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to take pride in their work and make their own decisions.
  • Possess a basic knowledge of plastics.
