Pacific Sound Plastic Surgery is a leading provider of comprehensive plastic and reconstructive surgery services in the Bellevue and Seattle areas. We are currently seeking a highly qualified Surgical Assistant with certification and licensure in Washington state as a LPN, RN, or PA to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work in both our Bellevue and Seattle locations, providing support to our skilled plastic surgeons in delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with plastic surgeons and other members of the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care throughout all stages of surgery.
  • Prepare operating rooms by ensuring proper sterilization of equipment, instruments, and supplies, and arranging them according to surgical protocols.
  • Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping in accordance with surgical procedures and standards.
  • Anticipate the needs of surgeons during procedures, providing instruments, sutures, and other supplies as required in a timely manner.
  • Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control practices to minimize the risk of surgical site infections.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with post-operative care, including wound dressing, monitoring drainage, and providing patient education.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and organization of surgical instruments and equipment, including cleaning, sterilization, and proper storage.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as an LPN, RN, or PA; licensed in Washington state. 
  • Minimum of one year of experience working as a surgical assistant in a plastic surgery setting.
  • Strong understanding of plastic surgery procedures, techniques, and instrumentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, surgeons, and colleagues.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Current CPR certification and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and quality care.
