The Opportunity

You are an energetic, competitive, goal driven person looking to break into sales. You expect to grow into an account executive role within the next 2-3 years. You are willing to put in the long hours and hard work necessary to learn sales from the bottom up starting as Business Development Rep (BDR) doing outbound lead generation. You’re ready to master the process of targeting ideal customers and personas, quickly qualifying leads, then assisting the account executive through the process of demo, quote, objection-handling, and close.


Property Gauge is a new SaaS startup in the property management technology industry (prop tech) and is looking for a hungry Business Development Rep to help drive revenue growth.


Business Development Representative (Sales)

The Business Development Representative collaborates closely with the Account Executive to expand the company's customer base by acquiring new accounts. We are pleased to provide training for individuals with strong communication skills, even if they lack sales experience, as long as they possess the necessary attributes of customer service and enthusiasm to become valuable, long-term team members. This role offers significant opportunities for future career advancement.


Job Description:

  • Identify and generate leads
  • Arrange presentations for the Account Executives through a combination of cold calling and relationship building, and actively support other sales initiatives.
  • Manage inbound inquiries regarding products and services.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Executives to ensure timely and thorough follow-up and support for client leads.
  • Achieve monthly goals in alignment with the territory's business plan.
  • Participate in tradeshows and conferences as required.
  • Maintain all sales-related data in the company-approved Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Work alongside Account Executives to oversee opportunities throughout the sales process as necessary.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions related to both internal and external relationships.


Requirements:


  • A proven record of accomplishment
  • Must possess a competitive drive and results-oriented approach.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or other related field is preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Previous experience working in a sales CRM system a plus.
  • Excellent presentation skills. Previous public speaking experience a plus.
  • Must be a self-starter in addition to a team player.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to successfully work independently and within a team environment
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and employees required.
  • Must possess general computer (PC) literacy and proficiency with MS Office products.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Travel: The position requires some travel to customer and other events in the United States, Canada and other countries. A valid passport and driver’s license is required.
