Marcum Search is recruiting for a Property Accountant for one of our clients in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

  • Property Accountant will prepare month end close, project accounting, job cost reports, and external reports for all project-related accounting functions for multiple jobsites.
  • Ensure timely processing of all general day to day accounting, (accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, etc).
  • Collaborate with property & construction managers on releasing payments to subcontractors
  • Assist with creating new jobs with appropriate cost coding in Yardi software.
  • Set up new properties in Yardi accounting system.
  • Weekly reviews of Job cost and Project Management modules to make sure all the jobs are up to date
  • Weekly meetings with the Construction team to review job progress and percentage of completion.

Qualifications

  • Yardi Software required
  • Multi-family property accounting, construction/development accounting experience(s) are preferred
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
