Senior Accountant 65- 85K
On Site in Lincoln, RI
This works closely with the local CEO, and reports into the controller in Europe. 

  • Perform accounting activities including journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis
  • Assist with internal and external audits by taking a lead in preparation/coordination
  • Prepare and review Sales & Use Tax filings
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and corporate internal control polices
  • Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to develop world class internal controls
  • Provide analysis and support to finance and operations leadership to ensure proper controls and business management
  • Coordinate with the accounting team in Germany
  • Support general accounting administration – check deposits, delegation forms
  • Other miscellaneous projects and duties as assign Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions:
  • Knowledge of commonly used accounting concepts, practices and procedures (including Sarbanes-Oxley and GAAP) required
  • Solid understanding of Financial Statements
  • Ability to accurately process high volumes of work, prioritize duties, meet deadlines, and work independently while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills ? Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop high levels of credibility and forge solid professional relationships with all levels of the organization, including upper management

  • Ability to be flexible in work schedule as business requirements dictate (month-end close) Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

Minimum Bachelor Degree - Accounting

  • 2 years of accounting experience (preferably in public accounting or a manufacturing environment)
  • Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills
  • Must have some experience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics, Navision)
