Position Summary:
The ideal candidate is initiatory, organized, comfortable in a fast paced environment, and determined to provide our clients with the highest quality service possible. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to work in a position that requires problem solving, maintaining construction project finances, and creatively utilizing his or her construction experience within Procore & Quickbooks.
Responsibilities:
- Detailed/hands-on knowledge of company operations & finances
- Preparing Budgets, cost estimates, Change Orders, Direct Costs, Commitments, Prime Contracts, Invoices, and various reports within Procore & Quickbooks
- Utilizing the PBS Cost Code system for all finances within Procore & Quickbooks
- Managing job profitability while informing necessary team-members
- Ensuring proper accounting within Procore & Quickbooks for assigned projects
- Preparing necessary documents for upper management as needed
- Identifying and managing potential office challenges
- Effectively resolving any delays, emergencies, and office issues that may arise
- Tracking and reporting progress while discussing technical matters with project team and upper management via Procore, email, and phone calls
- Must be willing and prepared to assist with tasks necessary to achieve goals and success
- Must readily and professionally communicate with and assist the upper management with various Procore & Quickbooks financial related tasks
- Making calls/preparing & sending emails
- Performing research to obtain information when necessary
- Will be point-person responsible for communicating with need-to-know PBS team members to present financial data
- Gathering documents to prepare for meetings
- Maintaining comprehensive and accurate Procore & Quickbooks financial records
- Will process company payroll weekly using ADP
- Obtain primary financial data for accounting records
- Compute and record numerical data
- Check the accuracy of business transactions
- Perform data entry and administrative duties
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Procore Project Manager: Financial Management at General Contractor certification
- Quickooks: Intuit Academy Bookkeeping Professional Certificate
- 1-3 years of experience within the construction industry with an in depth understanding of construction procedures and project management principles
- Thorough knowledge of construction & general contracting
- Google Suite
- Microsoft 365
- Dropbox
- AIA billing
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment and think critically under pressure
- Must be professional, articulate, friendly, and punctual/timely
- Team-oriented, collaborative, resourceful, and positive attitude
- Proactivity, self-direction, & results-oriented
