Job DescriptionJob Description

We are looking for highly organized candidates with excellent interpersonal skills for the position of event staff. Event staff is responsible for working under the instructions of an event manager, welcoming guests, setting up and breaking down events, pouring wine, and checking equipment against an inventory list, among other duties.

Moreover, event staff needs to constantly be on their feet and attend to the many needs of event-goers, requiring physical stamina and high energy levels.

Event Staff Responsibilities:

  • Setting up venue for events, including chairs, tables, and other equipment.

  • Operating Point of Sale system.

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Docs & Sheets.

  • Working under the instructions of an Event Manager.

  • Ensuring the event space is clean and organized.

  • Ensuring excellent levels of customer service.

  • Assuming the role of checking-in and welcoming guests.

  • Working at a wine bar & buffet table serving food and drinks.

  • Dispensing useful information to event-goers.

  • Inspecting equipment for damage after use and checking it against an inventory list.

  • Packing up equipment when the event is completed.

Event Staff Requirements:

  • Ability to work on weekends & holidays

  • Hospitality Experience Required, Event Experience Preferred.

  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Reliable transportation & ability to show up on time.

  • Outstanding organizational skills.

  • Diligence and attention to detail.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Physical stamina and high energy levels.

  • Good problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to perform under stress.

  • Excellent multitasking ability.

Compensation: $18 per hour +tips
