Job DescriptionJob Description

The Project Coordinator position supports Project Management and Estimating Teams to ensure accurate and timely contract administration for construction projects through to completion. We are a Commercial Door, Frame, and Hardware company looking to hire an experienced Project Coordinator to join our Contract Administration team. Candidates with a background in accounting, project accounting, construction, and/ or project administration are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of the billing process with the project team
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met
  • Prepare invoice entries for corrections and reclassifications
  • Assist in developing written procedures for construction projects and communicating with the project team
  • Support contract accounting activities during Month-End close
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable tasks
  • Review and finalize subcontractor billings and payments
  • Ensure compliance of contracts and all project documentation
  • Communicate and coordinate with project team and office administration team on a variety of job-related topics including bonding, insurance, and contract agreements
  • Work with clients to negotiate contract terms to match our proposals
  • Assist with project close-outs
  • Helping the project team with creating and issuing change orders

Skills:

  • DIR Compliance & Certified Payroll assistance
  • Experience and understanding with AIA Billing and Liens
  • Strong project coordination skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in project management software a plus
  • Familiarity with construction management software and tools or ERP systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to track project progress and documentation
  • Construction Industry experience required
  • Contract billing experience
  • Accounting background preferred
