Production Scheduler

Clayton Services is searching for an Operations Assistant to join a thriving company in Northwest Houston. The Operations Assistant will work closely with the COO to guarantee the development of production schedules, maintain accurate inventory, and ensure timely receipt, completion, and shipment of orders.
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $25.00 - $35.00/hour
Operations Assistant Responsibilities:
- Planning, scheduling, and coordinating the production of products to ensure timely delivery and meet customer demands.
- Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for a smooth production operations.
- Monitoring costs to ensure that the production process remains within budgetary constraints.
- Reporting on production status and addressing any issues to upper management for resolution.
- Handling production disruptions and addressing productivity challenges as they arise.
- Collaborating with the COO and Production Supervisors to enhance productivity and optimize costs.
- Utilizing forecasts and analysis to anticipate necessary production changes and adjust plans accordingly.
- Communicating order status to Sales and Accounting departments to maintain transparency and facilitate smooth operations.
- Creating and maintaining documents, databases, and correspondence as required for efficient operations.
- Coordinating logistical arrangements for shipping and receiving activities.
- Collecting, organizing, and filing office documents, including reports and confidential records.
- Assisting with invoice processing and estimating tasks to support accounting functions.
- Contributing to the maintenance and development of product catalogs, technical specifications, and pricing schedules for various customers.
- Supporting the creation and maintenance of presentations to facilitate effective communication.
- Assisting with packaging and shipping tasks as needed to fulfill orders.
- Providing assistance to production teams as required to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Participating in developing procedures, processes, and training materials to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Undertaking any other duties as needed to support the overall objectives of the company.
Operations Assistant Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
- Ability to problem solve and execute a multitude of tasks with varying deadlines.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other business-related software.
- Experience withDynamics 365 is a plus.
Operations Assistant Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma.
- 2+ years of operations or production support experience.
