Job Overview:

Mama Shelter Los Angeles is seeking an enthusiastic and personable Restaurant Host to join our team. As a Restaurant Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will play a key role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for them. You will be responsible for greeting guests, escorting them to their tables, managing reservations, and maintaining the appearance of the restaurant.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant and provide them with menus
  • Escort guests to their tables and ensure they are comfortable
  • Manage reservations and maintain an accurate record of bookings
  • Manage the flow of traffic throughout multiple outlets
  • Communicate with the kitchen and servers to ensure a smooth dining experience for guests
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the restaurant, including tables, chairs, and decorations
  • Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries and requests
  • Provide guests with information about the hotel, restaurants & bars, including menus, specials, and events
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred, but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
