Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Superintendent to join our team and oversee the planning, execution, and completion of large-scale commercial construction projects. This role offers a career progression opportunity, with the successful candidate having a path to advance within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage on-site construction activities for commercial projects.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and company standards.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel, as our company does not self-perform any scopes of work.
  • Monitor and enforce safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe job site.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain project schedules and ensure timely completion of milestones. Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure all project requirements are met.
  • Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts that may arise during construction. Manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs and reports of project activities and progress.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of Contracts and ability to minimize potential obstacles.
  • Prepare and present regular project updates and reports to senior management and clients.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a supervisory role within the commercial construction industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing on-site operations for large-scale commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, means, and methods.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Bluebeam).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to project sites as required.
