Job DescriptionJob Description

Summary:

This position is responsible for the assembly of all mechanical and mixing equipment as well as other accessory equipment.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Receives instruction, prints and work orders.
  • Interprets drawings, plans and determines working procedure.
  • Obtains necessary material and equipment.
  • Fit and assemble parts and sub-assemblies into units, to produce industrial equipment.
  • Fits and assembles component parts into frames, discharge gates, and mixing and rotating tools.
  • Installs and aligns hydraulic controls and hoses.
  • Uses electric motors to function and test the units and assemblies.
  • Notes and reports defects in material, tools and equipment.
  • Maintains accurate production and work time on each order in the ERP system
  • Must be accountable/responsible for the quality of individual work with the understanding that the finished product represents to the customer. Must take pride in work.

· Overtime may be required on an as needed basis

· Responsible for following established safety practices

Aptitudes and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, production schedules, work instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and information furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to be flexible within departments as well as the desire to take on new tasks
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Must have a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate and work well with others throughout the organization

· The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

· Ability to communicate and work well with others throughout the organization

  • This position requires continual use of your hands, considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials.
  • This position requires long periods of standing.

 

Education/ Training:

· High School diploma or equivalent

Experience:

· Minimum 1 years’ experience of assembly in a related field

· Must be able to perform Assembler duties independently with minimal (if any) supervision
