SUMMARY:  Plans, directs, and performs activities concerned with design, modification and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and facilities.  Primary focus on the systems of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls for machines and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Include but not limited to the following.

 

  1. Analyze plant processes, design and implement improvements.
  2. Troubleshooting issues with hardware and processes.
  3. Work with others to detect problems and implement solutions.
  4. Supports continuous improvement programs for Health, Safety and Environmental.
  5. Maintains a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.

6.    Supports maintenance and production personnel in maintaining production uptime.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

Education and/or Experience:     

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field from accredited four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Related experience includes:

·       2 years experience programming machine controls (Allen Bradley or Mitsubishi)

·       2 years experience using GML (Graphical Motion Language) in machine programming.

·       Understanding the concept of how to Visual Basic, C or C++ interface operates.

Knowledge in programming and configuring servo control
