Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to oversee and facilitate the transportation process of our company. The ideal candidate will be identifying and procuring transportation services for clients, negotiating rates, and ensuring timely pick-up and delivery of goods. In addition, the candidate will have a strong understanding of transportation, excellent negotiation skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent related experience.
  • Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or similar role.
  • Identify and secure carriers to transport freight and negotiate rates.
  • Select appropriate routes and transportation methods to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks in the transportation process.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation logistics and supply chain processes.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules
  • Address and resolve any issues or delays that arise during the transportation process.
  • Analyze process and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers.
  • Prepare shipping documents and coordinate with carriers and customers.
  • Resolve any issues or complaints related to the transportation process.

Customer Service:

  • Communicate with customers to provide shipment updates and address any concerns.
  • Resolve transportation-related issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, such as sales and business development, to meet customer needs.

Additional Requirements:

  • Certification in Logistics and Supply Chain Management is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Knowledge of regulations and policies governing logistics operations.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
