Sales Engineer - Remote


This position will be assigned to the Cloud Solution Sales team, reporting directly into the VP Cloud Sales. The Sales Engineer will provide technical support for all Cloud sales opportunities, working closely with Regional Sales Managers within the U.S. market to evaluate customer technical requirements, execute compelling technical demonstrations, assist with preparation of proposals, system deployments and integration, providing on-site troubleshooting and assistance with "Proof of Concepts workflows" for clients and new opportunities.


Primary responsibilities and functions include:

  • Primary technical support lead for all pre-sales Cloud business in the U.S.
  • Preparation of proposals, SOW's showing new system deployments and integrations with current systems
  • Plan and manage proof of concepts.
  • Provide on-site troubleshooting during rollout phase.
  • Coordinate with Cloud Product Manager for validating solutions and feature prioritization.
  • Specify system architectures, delivering solution demonstrations, managing system implementation and deployment, and providing exceptional customer service.

Required Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience working with one or more of the following: MVPD/vMVPD, OTT distribution, Cloud architecture, Broadcast industry (either working at broadcasters or selling to broadcasters)
  • Demonstrable understanding of digital video technology and video workflows
  • Experience with digital video and audio, video servers, compression technology and infrastructure requirements.
  • An understanding of XML and JSON API infrastructure.
  • An understanding of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technology, product, and application expertise to account sales team, prospects, and customers.
  • Ability to assess a customer's technical needs and match it to Telestream products.
  • Previous technical experience including knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server administration and IP networking technology.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be comfortable working remotely out of home office.
  • A willingness to travel (up to 30%)
  • Ability to work effectively with sales staff and resellers.
